Nutrition
Nutrition Response Testing is an assessment of neurological reflexes of your pet’s body to determine the usage of nutritional supplementation which reduce or eliminate stressors on your pet’s body. Most stressors are identified as toxins, food allergens, or infections. These stressors have been clinically shown to interfere with the body’s ability to heal itself. Whole food based supplements will be used in conjunction with other modalities to relieve these stressors. In some cases, we use a homeopathic cold laser to treat electrical interference by select scars causing stress. In others, we may cross refer for chiropractic adjustments to help enhance electrical flow, hence healing. Our protocol for nutrition response testing patients is combining a conventional exam with a nutrition response exam. They are performed by Dr. Cutright as a drop off procedure appointment. A consultation is made in the afternoon at the time of pick up to review initial nutritional and lifestyle recommendations for your pet. It takes 3 to 4 months at minimum for an organ to repair and rebuild once we identify and eliminate a stress and provide specific organ nutrition. So again we ask for your patience with the process. Fortunately in some cases, we can have results in 6 – 8weeks. Initially, weekly or bimonthly rechecks are necessary until all your pet’s levels of imbalances are discovered for a maintenance program to be established. In general, problems that have been present for a longer period of time require healing nutrition for longer periods of time and more frequent rechecks. There are cases where an animal’s system is so debilitated that it can no longer respond to nutritional supplementation.
We make every effort to identify these cases and review expectations before we embark on a recommended program. Generally, we will incorporate other therapies after 4 months if we are not receiving the desired results. Ideally a maintenance nutritional program is continued throughout the pet’s life, with 1 to 4 visits annually recommended.
